ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Nick Kuenssberg OBE, DUniv, BA (Hons), FCIS, CMI, FIoD, FRSA

Nick Kuenssberg  is a believer in empowering Scottish entrepreneurial talent and understands the possible financial and impact rewards having invested in over 40 startups. He is also chairman of three private companies, one of which is a 150 year old technical textiles business which he took into employee ownership. The other two are young software companies. He also chairs Social Investment Scotland, Scotland’s leading responsible finance institution and is an honorary professor at the University of Glasgow and member of the Strategic Advisory Board of the Adam Smith Business School, a business angel and mentor.

Previously Nick was chairman of the Glasgow School of Art, a director of Coats Viyella; Scottish Power and Standard Life amongst other companies, chairman of IoD Scotland; Scottish Networks International, Scotland The Brand and ScotlandIS, a director of the Scottish Legal Aid Board; the Scottish Employment Protection Agency and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education UK and a visiting professor at the University of Strathclyde.
